The New Hampshire Technical Institute opened in 1965 and has three engineering technology programs. Thirty-three years later the name was officially changed to NHTI, Concord's Community College. There are now sixty-three programs in a number of disciplines where students can train to work with an industrial electric tubing cutter as a mechanical engineer, become a visual artist, or work as an accountant, among many other things. There are also opportunities for continuing education, where those seeking extra knowledge can take individual courses.
General admission requirements for the school ask that each student has completed high school or a GED test. You are expected to send in your scores for this exam or for the SATs or ACT, as well as transcripts from high school and other post-secondary institutions that you may have already attended. In addition to these requirements each program has their own specifications. For example, if you'd like to work for a commercial mortgage company as an accountant you will be expected to have obtained at least a C-level grade in Algebra I and have completed a college preparatory course in English.
If you're interested in studying at NHTI as a continuing education student, there are many different avenues that you can pursue. You may wish to explore the choices by first attending one of the Career Changer Open Houses that take place throughout the year. If you're currently working many hours and can't make it in to class or are working in catering services Toronto based and still wish to study at NHTI there is the option of online courses. And for those that are looking for a little bit of adventure with their education, NHTI offers opportunities, both domestically and internationally, for students to travel and study abroad.
As a student of NHTI, you would have access to a number of student resources. First, the financial aid program provides opportunities for hundreds of students to be able to afford studying everything from food and beverage marketing to the liberal arts. There are computer labs available for use throughout the campus and there is a 24/7 Support Center for Continuing Education students. NHTI does their best to provide all of the help and services that you might need to do your best and succeed within this learning institution.
Whether you have the dream of owning your own business that sells growers supplies or would like to be the manager of a small hotel, you will get further with a quality education. If you were unsure of where you would best fit within the NHTI community than you can even come in and speak to one of their advisors. You will find that they not only guide you through your education, but also towards the career of your dreams.
