The New Hampshire Technical Institute opened in 1965 and has three engineering technology programs. Thirty-three years later the name was officially changed to NHTI, Concord's Community College. There are now sixty-three programs in a number of disciplines where students can train to work with an industrial electric tubing cutter as a mechanical engineer, become a visual artist, or work as an accountant, among many other things. General admission requirements for the school ask that each student has completed high school or a GED test.
